Safety is our priority.
Your time should feel easy. And safe. A few simple house rules keep every room and every guest in good shape. Some policies vary by location, so check with the Sawtelle team if you're ever unsure.
Conduct & safety
- Keep it kind. Abusive, threatening, or harassing behavior isn't tolerated.
- No weapons of any kind on the premises.
- No pets except trained service animals.
- Guests who are overly intoxicated won't be admitted.
- Smoking and vaping only in designated outdoor areas.
Care & liability
- Treat the room and gear with care. Damage or excessive mess may incur a fee.
- Manekineko isn't responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen belongings.
Food & drink
- Outside food and birthday cake are welcome. Just tell us when you book.
- Food, soft serve, soda and drinks stay inside your room.
- You may bring up to two bottles of wine or sparkling, for a $25 corkage fee per bottle.
Age & ID
- Guests under 18 need a guardian 21 or older and will not be permitted past 10pm. After midnight, 18–20s need an adult 21+ present. Policy varies by location.
- To drink alcohol you must show a valid, government-issued photo ID with your date of birth (21+). Student IDs aren't accepted.
- International guests: only a valid passport is accepted as foreign ID.
- Expired, altered, cracked, or damaged IDs won't be accepted. We'll refuse service for fraudulent IDs.
Photos & recording
- Snap and film all you like in your own private room. It's your party.
- Recording or photographing other guests or staff requires their consent.
- Commercial shoots, press, or live broadcasts need advance approval from our team.
- We may ask you to stop filming at any time.
Dress code
- Shirts and shoes required.
- Nothing with profanity or offensive artwork.
- We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.
Failure to follow these policies may result in ending your session without a refund or credit. We reserve the right to refuse service.
